I'll give you a clue. Search for a post where tst as attached a document, and note the hour when the edit was done. Find the corresponding time zone. You will discover that tst send his replies from a country slightly east from Central Europ (quite far from the Californian area then...).

Since palm trees can be seen on tst neighborhood picture, I suppose that he lives in South Africa... 😉

If tst is providing a free meal, the only questions that matter are WHERE and WHEN!!

Unless the words "soylent" or "green" are anywhere on the menu.  In that case, I'll probably bring a boxed lunch.

RE: tst's location

In this thread, post # 113

http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=130&message.id=351&view=by_date_descending&page=3

tst indicates he spent time in the "army".

I know that the US Navy uses the Blue/Gold team idea regularly. Is this true for other contries?

You deserve a single star for that coordinates, since the time zone of the Canary islands is one hour west from CE... (= portugal and GB).
The Greek islands would have been a much better choice if you want to stick to mediterranean climate. But without windmills this seems to be quite improbable...

Cut AK2DM some slack!

It appears he is directionally challenged as am I. The first time I tried to register my location in the LAVA user map, I ended up in Western China!

I did the same thing too at LAVA, I felt very 'RED'

Canary Islands were a total out of the blue guess from the just palm tree aspect and that I barely recall they were somewhere near Africa, without looking at any maps. I am very geographically challenged.

AK2DM:  Don't worry about maps, just follow the stars.

For those that don't know, AK2DM is an avid star gazer.  No not the ones on this forum, I mean the stars in the sky.

Well, speaking about intellectually impaired people ;), I just made a terrible mistake : I gave a desperate phone call from my office because I thought I was terribly late to an important meeting... in fact I had just modified my computer clock while playing with the different time zone settings. Made a fool of me 😞 😄

Nice story CC!

I will take that as an opertunity to turn this into a "HOW dumb can you be?" thread.

I used to work in downtown Pittsburgh about and hour from home and parked in a parking garage. So before I would pull into the garage each morning, I would check for my wallet to make sure I could get the car out again.

So one morning I was pulling into the garage, checked for my wallet and found I had left it at home.

No problem, I was way early so I drove home picked up the wallet and made it to work only a couple of minutes late.

The operators looked at me and said "I thought you were on vacation today."

They were right.
