You could always edit your posts for a while after posting....

???

You've been able to edit your posts for quite a long time. And what does Todd have to do with it?

Whoops, I obviously made an incorrect assumption since I now can no longer edit my original post.

BTW, that is a pretty short time limit!

Todd S. From AnEngineeringMind fame came by a few months ago were I work and asked me if there was anything

I could think of to improve the NI discussion forums to which I replied... please allow us to edit our own posts.

I did not know you ever had a short period of time that allowed this.  Apparently I am not that fast on the draw 🙂

As persuasive as Todd is, I assumed he pulled some strings and made it happen.

You have a period of 10 minutes after you first post a message to be able to edit.  It's been that way for as long as I can remember.

If you wait too long, you will no longer have the edit option in the options menu.  If you do have the edit option and start editing, but don't actually submit your editt until the 10 minutes are up, then you wind up with an error message saying your time as expired.
