I/O files (help me)

Hi, i'm a new user of this software and should have a require to do: i would
like know how input (and output) a file by a whichever folder. Somebody
tell me how to do? perhaps with a sample:
i.e. input example.dat ...... filter it ..... save in a new file.
It's very important for me, help me thank's.

The Write to Text File.vi and Read from Text File.vi in the LV examples (select help .. find examples in LabVIEW), gives you an example how to read to/from files in LabVIEW.

Hi Fillippo,

Look at attached vi file.
This vi read data file, filter some data and write new data to another data file.
I hope this will help you.
