I am not able to close the subVI front panel even after choosing the option close afterwards if originally closed from the subVI node setup

The sub VI is a user name password dialog box and I need its front panel to "disappear" once authentication is done.

The "Show front panel when loaded" checkbox is blank? I've seen this when
my sub-vi had run-time errors, but I can't think of a good example right
now. Could the sub-vi be losing focus and not receiving the ok or cancel to
close?
