6062E. I use a Thinkpad with windows XP. The DAQcard 500 works great. The DAQcard 6062E does not. It is seen by Meas and Automation but when I launch my Labview 6 Application, I get the meassage that the device is not a Nat'l Instrument device. Any Ideas?First, the obvious questions.
Since Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) can see it, can you run the test panels in MAX? Does the card respond okay?
Next, what device number did you give it in MAX? Is that the device number you used in your code?
Next, if you go to Settings->Control Panel->System->Device Manager (that's for Windows 98 and 2000--I figure it's similar in XP), does is show a Data Acquisition item in the list, with two cards (500 and 6062E) in the list?
It is possible that MAX sees the card, but your computer didn't register it.
