During your install, did you get to inster the second CD? If not, go ahead and find that "Drivers" CD and pop it in. It should autorun. If not, run the setup.exe. Go through that installation and select the drivers you want. Make sure to ask for both NI-DAQs.

Remember, Alliance Members are here to help. We do this stuff every day.

Right on, Dan. Remember, when you update your labview, you have to reinstall the NI-DAQ. NI-DAQ software puts in the DAQ vi's in your version of labview, so you can access the NI-DAQ driver from labview.

Ok. I'm having the same problem. I tried install the NIDAQ 7, with and without the DAQmx selected, still did not get the DAQ functions.

I am trying to use LV 7.1 on a Windows XP box, with a PCI-DIO 96 card.

You can download the latest version of NI-DAQ here:

http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/BEC182021CEB566C86256EEE00696562?opendocument&node=132060_US

Installing this will give you the DAQ pallette in LabVIEW and the DAQ Assistant.

Thanks,
Sal
