I get an error code -12 when trying to install

I was unable to unactivate it from the previous machine as the HD crashed. Now I get SDK error code -12 when the installer boots and then is crashes. How do I get LV on my new machine?

I am on WIN 7 Dell E6400 

The product is LV 8.6 for NI ELVIS II

Please do a search. This issue with installing previous versions of LaBVIEW on Windows 7 has been discussed many times over the past several months.

Hopefully you were able find the answer by searching.  If not, please refer to this KnowledgeBase article.  Instead of auto running the install CD/DVD, navigate to it manually and run Setup.exe.
