I have NI-DAQ 7.0.1 & VI-Logger 1.2, do I need LabView

I keep getting Error Code -2174467259 when trying to run VI-Logger, will installing LabView correct the error?

Hello Jerry,

There isn't a version 1.2 of VI Logger. Version 1.1 is the latest version of VI Logger. Do you by chance mean Virtual Bench Logger? If yes, I would suggest to upgrade to the latest version of Virtual Bench (which is 2.6). You can download the latest version of Virtual Bench at ftp://ftp.ni.com/outgoing. The file name is 26.zip.

Neither VI Logger nor Virtual Bench require LabVIEW to run.

The problem was solved. Even though I had uninstalled all NI programs there were some files that were left on the computer. So when I reinstalled the software the corrupted file was never overwritten. Therefore you must make sure that you remove all files, i.e. niconfig.*, to correct the error.
