What operating system are you running?
Which version of LV are you installing (i.e. Basic, Full, Pro)?
What drivers/addons are you installing with LV?
Have you tried installing on another computer from the same installation disks?
Does everything else in LV seem to work well?
Are you having any other problems with this computer?

I'm running Windows Xp with Service Pack 3 installed
Labvie 8.0 Pro version.
I've installed the following drivers/addons : Device Driver Reference CD 1and 2, FPGA Module, Real time Module and the Compact Rio downloads 2.0 and 2.0.1
Yes i've installed on another pc from the same disks and have had no problems on that pc.
Everything else seems to work.
It might be the computer. Have had a few problems with it, viruses, power supply. It might just be that i need to reformat the drive and reinstall windows again but i don't have the time to do that at the moment so i was looking for a quick solution. What i have done currently is cleaned up the registry, and removed any program that boosted my pc like XPSmoker etc.

The only other suggestion I would make is to do a complete clean reinstall.
First, remove all National Instruments software and then run a registry cleaner to remove all references to NI products (or do it manually if you know what you're doing).
Now reinstall just LV and see if you are still having the problem. If not, install the other drivers and your toolkits one at a time, testing between each installation.

Hello havok,
One thing we can try before reformatting your computer is to uninstall LabVIEW through the control panels using Add/Remove Software. Once this is uninstalled, copy the contents of the LabVIEW disks to your hard drive and install from there.
