I'm reverse engineering a 15 year old labVIEW project. There is a VI which supplies parameters to another VI called "ptc.signal_processing.scale.vector.vi" that is missing. Anybody have a clue to which library or dependency this function might belong to?

Hi örek,

please help 🙂

Put less text in the thread title and more text into the message field!

Search for that missing subVI in the backup of that LabVIEW project. Or check older revision of that project in your SCC tool…

Best regards,

It's not something from NI or 3rd party. No mention of it at all on the www.

If you have some context on how it's being used (hopefully it's used in several places), you could try to make a replacement. "Scale vector" doesn't sound too complex, but it could be...

A company called Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) bought out Mathsoft, the makers of a mathematics software package called MathCad, which is my favorite software for "doing Math" (and I've tried all four of the "M" languages).  It is possible that someone made a VI that could call some MathCad function via a DLL.  MathCad definitely had a Vector type, with Vector functions.  Unfortunately, when I moved a year and a half ago, I discarded all of my twenty-year-old versions of MathCad ...  If this is what you are seeking, PTC still offers MathCad 14 and 15, released around 2007-2010.
