I need gudelines on how to build a voice recognition application

 I am a new user of LabView. I have started exploring it about 6 months ago. I am trying to do the following exercises in voice recognition: 1) I am trying to speak few

letters using a microphone and use LED's as indicators. So, If I say A, then, the first LED will turn on, B the second LED will turn on.. and so on. 2) After that I am going

to try to speak the letters and let the computer types whatever I say, is this possible using LabView? If yes, Can I get some guidelines?.

I would recommend you take a look at LVSpeak built by one of my fellow NI employees and demo'd in a keynote and NI Week.  Even has a tutorial on how to use it.
