I want to change t

he caption text color of a progress bar, but want the first half of the text to be one color and the last half to be another color. I have tried using the Start/End Caption Selection property, but the full caption text always goes to the last color I set.

Slightly curious is the fact that I can't select more than a single
character and change its colour- in this example you'll note it just selects
one character at a time and changes the colour, which is adequate for a
progress bar. My first attempt wired a "0" into "SelStart" with the
intention of selecting a progressively increasing portion of the string- if
anyone can tell me why this didn't work I'd be interested, but I'm not
interested enough to figure it out for myself. 🙂
