I am working on relatively big project and need help in creating multiple ICON templates.
Like insturement drivers, I would like to create multiple ICON template based on function(Config, Test, Data etc). I am using LabVIEW 8.5 Full professional version.
Thanks,

Download Mark Balla's icon editor (here's an 8.5 version).
This allows you to create icon's with special colored banners and stores them in memory.

Creating library for ICON? Can you please tell me how to do it?

If you use a library (LVLIB), you have the option to create an icon-template that overlays the icons in the VIs.
However you still have the OLD icon editor. I strongly suggest to use Mark Balla's editor.

If you're in 2009 it is the new icon editor.
Create a new Library in your project. Right-click on it and go to Properties. Under general settings there is an icon editor option.

I have LV8.5 Prof. Version. I tried with ICON library but the default remains the same. They are saved as .vi and not .ico. Is that right? By the way, I can't download the 8.5 of MB's ICON editor.
Thanks all!

O, I posted the wrong URL: here's the good one: http://lavag.org/index.php?app=downloads&module=display§ion=download&do=version_download&id=118

Ton,

Strange, very strange. I have no idea what LAVA CR is doing.
Well here is the link to the main page, all the way down there is a link to the 8.5 download.
