I2C montior, sniffer, 8451

Ok I hope this is a quickie. Anyone know if it's possible to create an I2C sniffer using a USB-8451?

If not, any suggestions for the easiest way to do this?

Unfortunately, the 8451 only functions as a Master device.  Take a look at the following forum post for a bit more information:

Yeah I know. But I just want to watch the I2C chatter between another master and slave.

Can't do this with the 8451 hmmm?

U can use a digital input.

u take the SDA data at each rising edge of scl and u can check the datas like this:

adresse, ack, request, ack

try it

i used a PCI-6220
