Image acquisition

I am working on a project that required a usb camera connection to LabView. I managed to get it to work but, the camera produces some completely black frames first then the images start being generated. What could be the cause of this and is there a way to fix it. I attached a screenshot of the code.

How long does it take for the black screen to clear? Have you tried using one of the LabVIEW examples for IMAQdx?

It was never a constant number. I lowered the image resolution from the MAX window and that seemed to fix the problem, which leads me to believe that it was a data transfer delay.
