Hello everyone... when lab view was reinstalled (for some reason)i realized that its searching for IMAQ IMAGE.CTL this is some file that was not missing when the program was run before reinstallation. is there some where particular that i should look into? was there an error or was the reinstallation a mistake?
The IMAQ Image.ctl is installed with the NI-IMAQ driver. It is possible that the driver was uninstalled and not reinstalled. Make sure that NI-IMAQ shows up in Add/Remove Programs (ARP). If it doesn't you'll need to install it either from the driver CD, or download from: http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/50F6D6F1094A033586256D52006146E0?opendocument&node=132060_US
If it does show up in ARP, then you may want to perform a Repair, or just go ahead and reinstall it, making sure that it installs support for the version of LabVIEW you are using.
Hope this helps. Regards- Julie S Applications Engineering National Instruments
In my case it doesn't. I just upgraded Vision with development module and deployment engine and my existing software can't find IMAQ Image.ctl I tried to install IMAQ 2.6 and it saying it's nothing to install. I'm wondering, should I re-install all over again or I should discover a magic option (like Repair in old 2.5.x installer) in 2.6 installer, which will help me to re-install it.
Hello Alex - You can try a repair for IMAQ 2.6 as well. If that doesn't work, I would go ahead and uninstall the driver through Add/Remove Programs and then reinstall it after rebooting the machine. Hope this helps- Julie S
