Install Two DAQ cards

Hi! I am trying to install two different DAQ Cards: 6024E and 6220 in a computer running Windows XP. I have already installed Traditional NI DAQ (v. 7.4.4) and NI DAQmx. The problem I have is: The computer recognizes the first card I install but it doesn't recognize the second one. Any one knows where the problem can be? Thanks!!

The 6220 is not compatible with NI-DAQ Traditional.

You should check the specs for each board.

Probably you are looking inside the MAX>>Device and Interfaces>>Traditional DAQ Devices folder.

Look inside the MAX>>Device and Interfaces>>DAQmx Devices folder and you should be able to see both 6024E and 6220 DAQ cards detected and the corresponding device ID assigned

The reason:

PXI/PCI 6024E is supported by both Traditional DAQ and DAQmx versions of device drivers

And PXI/PCI  6220 is supported by only DAQmx version of device drivers ( DAQmx version 7.3 or higher)

Hope this helps

Regards,

Dev

Hi,

if you have installed DAQmx, it should be able of recognizing both.

Which is the version of LabVIEW you use? Depending of this, you must install a different driver version.

If LV 7.1 or above, install DAQmx 8.5.

If LV 7.0, install DAQmx 8.1.

If below LV 7.0, then you couldn't use DAQmx, you should use Traditional DAQ, but the 6220 (M series board) are not supported.
