Install Window CE for TPC-2006

Dea all,

I want to configure  my TPC-2006, but it requires Windows CE on my PC, As i am unable to locate my Tocuh Panel Screen in the Device and interfaces screen. I browse through NI site, but every where it is mentioned that i need the Window CE on my PC. But i am ubale to locate this guy (software). This TPC-2006 is communicating with the PC using USB,TCP/IP etc. I have developed the software but when i try to Locate the TPC-2006, There is noting except my Network Module, DO,DI and AI Modules in my devices and interface list.

I installed the complete 3 drivers CDs including FPGA, RIO etc.

You don't need to have Windows CE on your PC; Windows CE is the OS on the TCP-2006. Have you looked at the tutorial on the web for getting started with your Touch Panel? I have linked it below. I suggest you go through this tutorial and it should clear up any confusion you have. I hope this helps!

Thanks, now its a next step for me. I read this link carefully,  now i am able access other computer from my tpc-2006 by entering the command in Internet Explorer (IE)   \\sga1 where sga is my PC name, i can view the files and folders of my PC.

But when i put TPC device name in my PC it is giving me the message "Windows Cannot find "\mytpc" Please check the spelling and try again. But i am sure that my device name is mytpc.(Even i checked that when i ping from my PC - PING mytpc  it is giving me reply "Replying from 10.40.29.44"

One interesting thing that even on my TPC device, if  i open the Internet Explorer and type the IP address i.e 10.40.29.44 or my device name which is "TPC" , it is giving this message

Windows CE Networking
Bad Network Path, Check to see if the path you typed is correct and that your dial-up connection is active or your network card is properly inserted.

For me, Now i have to explore my TPC device properties.

Here is a knowledgebase article about configuring the TPC-2006 for FTP access from your PC. I should note that right now the embedded pictures in the document are hard to read and labled incorrectly, but the actual image attachments at the bottom are named correctly and will be easier to read. I am currently working on fixing the embedded pictures.

How Do I Configure the FTP Server on TPC-2006 and TPC-2012?
