Installing labview on 64 bit linux

Hi,

I'm considering purchasing a dual opteron or dual xeon (with EMT64 instruction set) linux workstation for simulations and data-analysis. Dual opteron server is the preferred choice. Does anybody have any experience in installing labview 7.1 (or newer) on 64 bit linux workstation? Can it run in 64 bit mode? Can it run under a 64 bit linux kernel?

If the version 7.1 works fine, will National Instruments guarantee that also the later versions of Labview will run as well.

I have been thinking SUSE Linux professional or SUSE Linux Enterprice server.

Hi,

LabVIEW cannot run in 64 bit mode. It can only run in 32 bit mode.
