Invalid color template image

I am currently getting an error of "Invalid color template image". Can somebody explain to me why I am getting this error and how I can fix it? Thanks.

That link gives you errors on pattern matching, where images are all converted to grayscale. I'm trying to do color matching.

How did you create your template image? If you are simply trying to use an image itself, you need to actually create a template out of it first. When you create a template, it writes metadata into the png file. This link is an example: http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-4291 . Also, if you go to Start»All Programs»National Instruments»Vision and open the Template Editor, you can open your image and save it as a template image.
