Is LabView 7.0 compatible with USB-6211?

Thinking of buying a USB-6211. The spec calls for LabView ver. 7.1, but the only one I have access to is version 7.0.  Will this version work or do I need to buy a new LabView?

The specs are correct. The first version of DAQmx with USB-6211 support is version 8.3 and the latest version with support for LabVIEW 7.0 is version 8.1

Hi there

It seems that the USB-6211 support has been added at versions of NI-DAQmx that do NOT support LV 7.0. To check this i'd install the latest version of NI-DAQmx that supports 7.0 and then create a simulated USB-6211 device in MAX (see attachment). Download can be found at

http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/fn/p/lang/en

Make sure to select the LabVIEW 7.0 support option at installation. Then open

\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\examples\DAQmx\Analog In\Measure Voltage.llb\Acq&Graph Voltage-Int Clk.vi

Select the simulated device and see what happens. . You can test this without buying the device or any software.

But to be sure i'd call NI anyway.....

Best regards
chris
