Is PXI supported when conntect to RT PC target?

We have a pxi-1006 chassis with 11 pxi-4472 cards and a pxi-7831r card on board. Currently the chassis is connected to a host pc running windows xp pro. we are considering the possibility of using the host pc as a RT ETS target, so that it reads in data from the chassis, write to local hard drive and transfer the data to another PC through tcp/ip for displaying and processing. We are using DAQ right now, but i think we can switch to DAQmx to be more compatible with RT. The question is: does this make sense and is this kind of setup supported by LV RT? specifically, i looked through this link and LV does not seem to support an
y PXI board connected to a RT ETS PC target.

Hi,

how is the PXI Chassis connected to the host PC? If it is connected through MXI-3, then your requested setup
should work also with PXI components. Everything is depending on the kind of PC you are using. You might know that NI currently only supports a special list of Desktop systems which you already found under the link in your article. There you find also information to validate any other PC System for use with RT.
