Is it possible to configure the output of the agilent 34980?

Solved!

Hi,

It's maybe a simple problem, but I couldn't find enough information to be 100% sure.

What I want to do is to use the Agilent 34980 and the necessary module (don't remember the reference now) to switch a MOSFET. I thought I saw or read somewhere that it was possible to configure the output voltage of the Agilent, however, by looking to the Labview library for the Agilent, I cannot see any block capable of configuring the output voltage value. What I need is a fixed voltage level between 2.5V and 10V, 10V would be better.

Does anybody knows it?

In case this voltage output is not possible to configure, which voltage will output when using the block AG34980 Switch to close a channel? 24V?

As far as I am aware, the 34980 only has switches associated with it.  And some of those switches allow access to the built in DMM.  So assuming a Form A or Form C relay module, the output voltage will be whatever you input on the high side.

I am not sure about it, and neither that I completely understood what you meant... Could you explain me a little bit more detailed?

You can get System Control Modules for the mainframe that allow waveform generation, DIO and analog outputs.  These are separate cards you need to purchase and they probably aren't directly supported in the LabVIEW driver.  See.. https://www.keysight.com/en/pc-1000003029%3Aepsg%3Apgr/system-control-modules-for-34980a?nid=-33254....

Hi,

I know, I have two modules in my device. Actually I solved my problem by using the switch module, I hadn't looked into it in details previously.

Right now my problem is related to generating a frequency signal in one output, to be read by another pin of the same module. I can already measure frequency, but I cannot make the signal to output. I am following the examples in NI page using Labview, but it's not working.

What I have is one of the output from the analog module 34921A (channel 2030) which I want it to output a squared signal of 3Hz. I have physicaly connected it to channel 2040, which I can already measure frequency. However, when I run the code I get the message: -420,"Query UNTERMINATED; <Err>". However I had a different message yesterday, related to the configuration.
