Is there a Labview instrument driver called "select arbitrary waveform" for a function generator Agilent 33250A?

my application concerns a waveform generator from agilent
it is a 33250a but I did not found a "select arbitrary waveform.vi" module

Hi Steffanie,

You are correct, there is no "select arbitrary waveform.vi" from Agilent.

There is an Arbitrary Waveform Setup vi which offers 5 built-in setups.

I checked the examples from Agilent. They did not use a "select arbitrary waveform.vi".

Does one of your libraries call this vi?

I'll attach the vi (in case you don't have it).

Hello. It looks like the VI you are looking for is in an older version of the driver that is currently on IDnet. I attached a zipped version of the old driver. I also looked in the .llb and double checked that the select arbitrary waveform VI (named "hp 33120a - Select Arbitrary Waveform.vi") was included.

The reason for removing this driver from IDnet is that it was updated and replaced by a newer driver (link below). The newer driver supports more models and was re-architectured to provide a better interface.

The version currently on IDnet (search "ag33xxx"): http://zone.ni.com/idnet97.nsf/9b2b33e1993d877786256436006ec498/0027109f3d6e32dd86256d6d0068a5bd?OpenDocument

I hope the attached files work for you! Let us know if you
have any more problems.

the hp33120a is replaced by the agilent33250a in my application
but i did not found the module called "select arbitrary waveform" in the package linked to the agilent functions generator
however you are right concerning the fact that it is in the package of the hp33120a
i don't think that this module works with the agilent material because it is conceived to hp applications and hp materials

thank for your help

Even though the driver is labeled hp33120a, it supports the 33250a model. The fact that it is prefixed by "hp" is because Agilent used to be part of Hewlett Packard.

Are you having specific problems with the driver (hp33120a) I attached in my last post?

ok thank you for your added message in fact i thought that theses drivers was specificly conceived for each instrument

i worked with the 6.i version of labview and i am afraid to be confronted with many difficulties with drivers
do you think that they run under an old version of labview?

concerning the initialize.vi, errors occur and it is maybe linked to the fact that my version in not updated

thank for your response
