Is there a recent version of SurfaceVIEW that works with LV 7.x?

I am trying to update an application that I first wote in 1998 in LabVIEW, version 5.1 I think.  I incorporated SurfaceVIEW by Metric Systems, which company I cannot locate anymore.

SurfaceVIEW does not work with LabVIEW 7.x.

Is there a later version of SurfaceVIEW?  An alternative?  Or must I convert over to LV's internal 3D routines (with which I don't have an issue, just that it will take time)?

http://www.metricsystems.com/ ?

They don't advertise SurfaceView, but if it's the same company, you could
try to contact them.

Hi Bruce,

I have done some research and I don't think that Metric Systems still exists (at least not the same Metric Systems that made SurfaceVIEW).

I'm not sure exactly what SurfaceVIEW does but INSIGHT might be the replacement you are looking for.

I never worked with it, but I seem to remember Rolf Kalbermatter saying that it relied on internal functions which no longer exist. I suggest you try searching through his posts here and in the LAVA forums (try username "rolfk" and "3D").

I contacted  Metric Systems in California, and they are not the same company that produced SurfaceVIEW.  According to Rolf K's forum discussions from a while ago, he explains that SurfaceVIEW has not worked with LV for a while, and the original Metric Systems does not exist any longer.

So I guess I will just have to take the time to use LV's 3D graphs.

Thanks to all who responded.
