we're gonna need a lot more votes... (or is there a more popular one I should be kudo-ing?)
i cant stand the brightness of LV after so many other apps have adopted the darkness...

As I already complained about in this thread, NIPM 20.6 removed the product browser, which was the simple way of checking for updates. And since the SP1 uses different feeds than non-SP, NIPM will not see it. You have to check the download web site (LabVIEW Download).

Voted.
And the icon for LabView has that rounded edge that was popular when Windows 7 came out. How innovative...
And the year/version seems to be 28, not 20:
And the font on the start screen for LabVIEW is very narrow on "b" but quite wide on "a". It looks wrong:
And why is the application icon orange? Why not LabVIEW-yellow?
And why did this new style come out in a service pack? So it could be fixed until 2021?

Anyone have a side by side they care to share that shows the difference?
Actually, I find the light theme more industrial looking than the older dark grey one. It could use a little more contrast at some places but it is not bad IMHO. Why the application icon needs to be orange instead of yellow is however a miracle. And things like the version number in the icon seem to be less clear than in the past.
The theme change for an SP release seems a little out of place but is probably due to the fact that this SP1 is in fact somewhat delayed and almost like a next release except that it doesn't really seem to contain any new features. Considering the whole bad situation of last year and the NXG discontinuation, which certainly must have upset some of the process for a new release it seems all somewhat understandable. What worries me a bit is that aside from a few private channels, there is basically very little in terms of real news aside from the new corporate identity change from almost all of NI.
