Hello!
I try to install LV8 with IMAQ Vision 7.1.1. Our application (implemented in LV 7.1.1) uses Vision 7.1.1. But when I install LV8 Vision and then Vision or I have installed LV 7.1.1 and Vision and then I install LV8 than Vision is not included in the function palette.

If I start our applicaton functions like LV can not find e.g. IMAQ Create.

any ideas

thanks for help!

best regards

Vision 7.1.1 does not have support for LabVIEW 8 yet. So far, the only version 8 products are LabVIEW and DAQmx. NI has also made a small utility that will add support to LV8 for FieldPoint 4.1, but that's not going to help you.

For now, about all you can do wait until NI releases Vision 8. Should be within a month. You could try calling support to see if they will make a utility to place 7.1.1 in the LV8.

Is there a list somewhere of what products have been released for version 8?? Almost sounds like I should wait for the 8.1 release to update.

The only things that have been officially released are LabVIEW 8 and DAQmx 8.

I've heard through the grapevine that the Developer Suites are sheduled to ship mid November. (that would about... today Smiley Wink) That should include everything that's normally in your software suite and will include support for LabVIEW 8. But as far as I know, Vision does not come in any of the Suites. There's rumors that the rest of the software will be shipping at the end of November.

Hi!

It's possible to work with LabVIEW 8 and IMAQ Vision 7.1.1

You have to defer the mnu files from C:\Programme\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\menus\default\vision to C:\Programme\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\menus\Categories\VisionMotion and copy the files VisionControlsMNU.dll and VisionControl.mnu to C:\Programme\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\menus\Controls

regards,

ThSa
