When I try to install the LV 6.02 RTE on a Windows NT machine that is logged onto the network with full administrative rights, I receive the error 1402, "Could not open key".
There is nothing on NI's web site that discusses this error. All I can offer are maybes.
Talk to your IT folks and verify that you have admistrator rights with registry editing powers. Check to see if your virus scanner is interfering. Copy the file to your harddrive and install from there. Uninstall any NI software on that machine and install the RTE first.
