LV2011SP1 Build Error

No, I can't do anything but move the window arround and click the ok button and the X. I did notice that the error is different this time from the one I posted previously. See attached...

Hi Skydyvr,

I have been looking into this some more and I would like to request a few more things so that we can evaluate them at this end and hopefully get to the bottom of this.

First, could you send me the full installer build log. By default this is located in your user temp directory and is called <ProjectName>_<InstallerName>_build.txt

Before you start your build, make sure that the check box for 'Copy selected installers to this computer before building' is NOT checked.

Second, a copy of the MDFInfo.xml file, you can find this at [ProgramData]\National Intruments\MDF\Bin\MDFInfo.xml

Finally, a dump of all the registry values under this key:

On a 32 bit OS: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\National Instruments\Common\Installer
On a 64 bit OS: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\National Instruments\Common\Installer

If you are unable to post that information to the forum, please private message me and we can set up another avenue for this information.

Regards,

I will do that when I have time - probably next week sometime. We are in a crisis situation here and I have no time to work on anything else.

On a related matter, I did notice that I got a similar error when I tried to create another installer for a totally different program. I'm not sure if the error is the same error as I didn't capture the screen, but the symptoms are the same - request platform DVD1, searches that DVD for a while then gives an error pop-up with only an 'OK' button, then fails to build. For this program, the only additional installer selected was "NI USI 1.9.1". For this program I managed to sort of fool the build by inserting my platform DVD from LV2011 (no service pack). It searched on that disk for a while, but eventually built the installer without error. Don't know if this means anything, but it is just more information.
