LV7.0 needs long time for VISA resource name control

Hello,

if I place a VISA resource name control on the desktop of a vi, this vi needs very long time to be displayed. I think LV needs this time to find all VISA resources. I use LV 7.0 and VISA 3.0. In former versions (LV6.1 with VISA 2.6) I hadn't this problem.
Does anyone know how I can shorten the display time? Does this happen because of the new USB support?

In Measurement and Automation Explorer 3.0 in VISA Option menu you must clear following options:
- Use ibln to test device state
- Auto find every GPIB-VXI
- Retry after failure
Also from LabVIEW.ini try to remove all ports, which not necessary for you.

After these changes (at this moment I don't know exactly, which option was most important) on my computer this problem doesn't present any more.
Of course, you must check functionality of VISA functions after them...
