LabVIEW 2012 Can't see cRIO

Hello,

I'm having trouble trying to operate a cRIO with modules NI 9212 and NI 9882. I have configured the cRIO on the latest MAX, but LabVIEW 2012 does not see it, or the modules. When I configure the cRIO and open a new project I don’t see the option to add "Target and Devices". I have downloaded all of the compatible drivers for cRIO, real time module, FPGA module, and still nothing. I checked that the licenses were active, and they are.

I have followed the procedures to configure cRIO and the only thing that I find different is that the automatic IP starts as 169.xxx.xxx.xxx. I'm not sure, but I think I read somewhere that if it started with 169, there was a communication problem; however, MAX says that the communication is good and the cRIO is connected.

I don't know what else to do. I need to start working on this project soon. If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Jose

Hi Jose,

This sounds like it might be a driver issue.  Double-check that you are using NI-RIO 12.0.  If not, upgrade to 12.0 to be compatible with LabVIEW 2012; if you are already using 12.0 try repairing or reinstalling it from a new download of the distribution, which you can find here: NI-RIO 12.0 for Windows.

Jayme,

It was due to the LabVIEW version that I was using. The drivers all worked for the 32 bit version and I was working on the 64 bit. Now everything seems to be going better.
