Hello community,
I am using LabVIEW 19.0f2 (64-bit). Recently, my LabVIEW launched very slow. It hangs at "Finishing Initializing" screen for around 50 seconds then go to the welcome screen.
I thought it might be some other software conflicts, thus I made a fresh install of Windows 10. However, the issue still exists. The issue makes LabVIEWCLI operations and VI Package Manager package installations sometimes timeout.
Any thoughts on this issue?🙄

Hi Alan,
I noticed that this is the point where LabVIEW verifies that it is licensed. And depending on the way you activated LabVIEW, it might need to reach the network. If you are using a Volume License Manager, it will try to reach the server where your licenses are managed and that might take a while if your internal network is slow. How did you activated LabVIEW?

I am using local licenses. So I think it might not be a license issue?

The first image (in the first post) does say "Unregistered".
That doesn't seem right... It should list name, company, serial nr., license type (this is listed).
I'd try unregistering, re-registering, reactivating, and such...

The Professional version is Licensed.

I've had similar issues before, and there are several threads about it, so to cross something off the list, unplug the network cable and then launch LV and see if it goes faster.

Hi Alan,
It seems that also the communication with a remote VISA device could be slowing down your startup according to the following KB LabVIEW Taking a Long Time to Launch , I would give it a try with the suggested solutions.

Hey guys, I think I found the cause of the issue. It's my Type-C hub🙄. My hub has a HDMI port, 2 USB 3.0 port, SD-card reader, RJ45, and type-c power in port. I don't know why LabVIEW is not compatible with this type-c hub. (I have another type-c hub, but has no issue with LabVIEW).
I confirm the cause by the following procedure:
1. Unplug type-c hub, launch LabVIEW several times. It works smoothly.
2. Plug type-c hub, launch LabVIEW. LabVIEW hangs at the splash screen.
3. Unplug type-c hub. LabVIEW goes to the welcome screen immediately.
I've tried the procedure several times. So I think it's no coincidence. So weird.
