LabVIEW 6.1 crash on Windows 98 while performing data acquisition

I've just updated my system from LabVIEW 6.02 to 6.1 on my notebook (DELL Latitude CPi-A). Since then, I have a lot of trouble to perform data acquistion.

In debug mode, it appeared that it performed well the first acquisition (AI-config _ AI-start _ AI-read _ AI-close). And then it crashes the computer at the second loop : have to hard-reboot.

Any clue before I re-install LabVIEW 6.02 ????

Thanks,

Cyrille;

The best thing to do now is to unsinstall all NI Software you have on that computer, clean up the registry and reinstall only NI-DAQ at first. You can then test your hardware by using Test Panel in MAX, and in case everything look good, you can go ahead and install Labview. Make sure to unselect the NI-DAQ installation option in the Labvie installer, otherwise you might end up with two different copies of NI-DAQ registered on your machine.

Hope this helps.

Thank for your answer.
Actually, I'm sure (99%) that Ni-DAQ works well, because the test panel works fine. And through LabVIEW, it made the first acquisition in debug mode.

Today, I came back with fresh mind and follow some "common issues" with graphic acceleration.

So, I turned off the graphic acceleration from the windows system performance. And since then, everything seems to work well.

But I would suggest to NI to look a bit deeper on those graphic acceleration compatibility issues because it is not the first time I have to turn off this MS windows feature. In previous cases, the error came when I was modifying a XY graph.
