LabVIEW 8.6 DVD Internet Activation Error

Also seeing this problem with the 1st Quarter Software Reference Library (Feb 2009).  Activation over the internet has worked in the past.  This KB suggests that an "authenticating proxy server" can cause this issue:

I don't think this is my problem.

Can NI weigh in on this?  Activating each piece of NI software individually is tedious (now that you've spoiled us with mass activation).

After getting the error (as seen in the KB I referenced above), I was able to activate via the web with the following workaround:

At the "NI Activation Wizard - Activation Error" message
Click Other

Select "Use a Web browser on this or another computer"
Click Next until you see the blue "ni.com/activate" link near the top of the NI Activation Wizard
Click "ni.com/activate"

This should launch your web browser...
Complete fields and click "Submit"
Be patient while NI processes the request and the "Step 2: Review Your Confirmation" page appears
Scroll down to "Step 3: Apply Your Activation Codes"
Highlight all the codes, copy (Ctrl-c), and paste them into Notepad
Delete any tabs that precede the codes
Highlight all the codes and copy (Ctrl-c)

Go back to NI Activation Wizard
Click Next
Paste the codes you copied above
Click Next
Be patient while NI processes the request
Follow the remaining prompts
