LabVIEW Installation Error - ni-error-report-x86

Dear NI Technical Support,

I previously had LabVIEW installed on my system but had to uninstall it due to an incorrect version of the NI License Manager. Now, while attempting to reinstall LabVIEW, I am encountering the following error during installation:

Error message:
"An error occurred while installing a package: ni-error-report-x86 (20.0.0.49152-0+f0)"

Additional error information:
An error occurred while creating a process to run command '"C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\NI Error Reporting\nierserver.exe"'.

Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue? I would appreciate any troubleshooting steps or solutions that may help.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards, Samuel Tomáš

What was the "previous version of LabVIEW" that you uninstalled?  If it was LabVIEW 2017 or later, there is only one "safe" way to uninstall LabVIEW.

Please tell us more about your situation.

  • What was the "previous version of LabVIEW"?
  • List all the steps you took to uninstall this version.
  • Did you have more than one version of LabVIEW installed?  Did you try to remove everything?
  • What was the last thing you uninstalled?
  • Did you remove any files or folders after the steps you just described?
  • Did you remove (manually or programmatically) any Registry entries?

In addition, please tell us what you are trying to do.

  • Tell us about your PC (or Mac), including Operating System
  • What version of LabVIEW (Year and whether 32-bit or 64-bit) you are installing.
  • What extra Toolkits and Drivers (besides DAQmx, IEEE-488, PXI, and VISA) you installed.
  • What Additional Features you included.
