LabVIEW Interview tips

Hi all,

 

I will be conducting telephonic interview for candidates with 2+ years exp for a LabVIEW Developer position for Automation projects(R&D). i am looking forward for some useful tips from you ppl. Please give your suggestions. How to judge their coding skills?

Ask for some code.  Think of a good sub-CLD project and make them send it to you.  That should be done before the interview.  Then you can discuss the code during the interview.

It's funny when NI Application Engineers ask for mine.

AE: Are you on the forums?

Me: Yeah, I'm on there some.

AE: Really?  What's your alias?

Me: Crossrulz.

Send them a coding problem and have them zip and email their work back to you. Give them a time limit.
