Currently NI recommends the following hardware for use with the real time system:

The OS that is used in conjunction with labview is Phar Lap. Currently the OS is multithreaded but does not support mulitiprocessor systems. Therefore although the OS may run on a multiprocessor system, you would see no performance improvements.
