LabVIEW community edition and Arduino Interfacing

Hi guys,

I'm trying to download the LabVIEW interface for Arduino using the VIPM on my MAC OSX BIG SUR 11.2.3.

I have the community edition of LabVIEW 2021.

It's giving the following error:

Main Package Name: LabVIEW Interface for Arduino v2.2.0.79
Package Name with Error: LabVIEW Interface for Arduino v2.2.0.79
Error Message: VIPM could not install the package national_instruments_lib_labview_interface_for_arduino-2.2.0.79 .
Error Code: 7

/Applications/National Instruments/LabVIEW 2021 64-bit/vi.lib/LabVIEW Interface for Arduino/Close.vi

I'm in a rush due to a project deadline, and need to interface asap.

I really appreciate you help.

Thank You V M

Curious to know how you could be in a rush to meet a project deadline with a version of LabVIEW that is clearly not intended for commercial or academic usage?

On top of what Bilko said... I don't see LINX listed in the supported toolkits for Mac, but i did see a lot of chatter about it in my Google search, so someone out there might have a workaround.

Supported Modules and Toolkits
LabVIEW 2021 for macOS supports the following modules and toolkits.

Control Design and Simulation Module
MathScript Module
VI Analyzer Toolkit
Application Builder

I think the OP is trying to use LIFA which is circa 2016. Not sure if the newer Arduino IDE still even works with that original sketch without some modifications. It is listed as being available for LINUX which is probably why the OP wants to use it. 32 bit only?

Now Using LabVIEW 2019SP1 and TestStand 2019

Just FYI - I wasn't joking about the deadline thing.  LabVIEW Community Edition is not for commercial use or academic use, and could result in NI throwing their army of Lawyers at you if you use it in such a manner.  If your contract is with a client, then you could have TWO armies of lawyers after you.

Hey, you scared me so much you have no idea. I'm a student, and my university have LabVIEW 2018, and due to covid I'm accessing it through remote apps, and it's not working properly and lack some add-ons, so I said maybe I'd try opening my code with the community edition, just to demo my DAQ code and then delete it. Now that you mentioned an army of lawyers are stand by, I'll delete it :(((

You should be able to get the student license from your university?  They shouldn't have put you in this position to begin with.  Talk with the professor to see how you can obtain the student edition and a license.  This is the more appropriate way to do it.  They should be leaving you to dangle in the wind like that.
