LabVIEW edition

Background is that I've always run Base LabVIEW for PC applications only. Now I'm looking to use CompactRIO for more reliability and better control.

Is LabVIEW Professional Edition required to deploy programs to CompactRIO target? I can't get a response from NI. I'm confused since you can still run RT module with the Full edition. But unless you can deploy your program on the cRIO target, then of what value would the RT module be?

According to here, you can deploy to a cRIO with the RT and/or the FPGA modules if you have the Full edition.
