Update for posterity - be aware that this bug has the fun little side effect of annihilating your code. I was not aware of this initially so I am going to have to figure out exactly how to restore an older snapshot of a couple of important VIs that were corrupted. In my case, I have a dropbox folder that I use on a network share accessed via a vm (all hosts are linux). The VM on which I access this code is Windows 7 on one machine and 10 on another. Planning on spinning up a 10 VM on another but this is a huge setback for me. Yay.
