Hi everyone,
I’m trying to use LabVIEW with a Digilent Analog Discovery Studio breadboard running in a Windows VM on a Mac (Parallels).
Here’s my setup:
LabVIEW installed on Windows VM (x86 version).
Digilent WaveForms ARM beta runtime (v3.24.36 ARM64) installed.
The board is detected correctly in the WaveForms GUI (device name shows “DiscoveryStudio”).
I am trying to initialize the board in LabVIEW using WF Gen Initialize with the device name "DiscoveryStudio"
.
Problem:
LabVIEW still reports wrong device name / cannot detect the board, even though the WaveForms runtime shows the device.
Without the ARM WaveForms runtime, it previously showed DEMO mode, so I believe LabVIEW is not talking to the ARM driver correctly.
Questions:
Is this setup (LabVIEW x86 + WaveForms ARM on Windows ARM VM) supported?
How can I make LabVIEW detect the Digilent board in this configuration?
Are there known workarounds for using LabVIEW with Digilent devices on Windows ARM in Parallels?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Frauke

This is a Digilent Waveform SDK question and best to be posted at the Digilent forum.
