LabVIEW with Wibu Key

I have searched this forum and have found the Wibu-Key method of Software Protection mentioned, but no one seems to have mentioned any actual Interface Method / Examples of HOW to tie it into LabVIEW.

So far, Wibu Systems does not have any examples of interfacing with LabVIEW.

Can anyone that has used the Wibu-Key with LabVIEW provide me with some suggestions or examples??

slbLV,

Personally I have not used Wibu, but from the posts from waldemar.hersacher it seems that the Wibu implementation that he was speaking of was for C based programs.  There are quite a few good posts about copy protection in LabVIEW though if you search for that.  Here is one that I came across.

Application Copy Protection

Hope this helps!

Andy F,

Thanks for the thought... I have searched "copy protection", etc. also, and have read this and 5 other posts that had Wibu-Key mentioned, plus several more that did not.

I've determined that the 'external hardware' seems to offer the best solution for our situation, but need to get the Wibu-LabVIEW interface going.

I know I need the COM interface within LabVIEW to do it, but this is totally new to me. I am trying to work through the Wibu Manuals and the COM use in LabVIEW, but if someone had already done this and could provide some experienced insight, it would really be a time saver.  Thanks.

The best advice I can give would be to keep at it and post if you have any specific questions!  I also might post on one of the other Wibu threads and see if you can get any advice there as well.

Good luck!
