LabView + Windows upgrade

I need to upgrade LabView and Windows (from LV8/WinXP to LV2011/Win7).  Which should I upgrade first?  Does it matter?

I'd recommend Windows first.  I may also be wrong but I'm not sure you can upgrade from XP straight to 7, I believe you need to either have Vista to go to 7 in an upgrade, otherwise you'll need a clean install of 7.

After you have 7 installed install LabVIEW.  It may not make a difference but this method is less likly to cause issues.
