LabView causes an invalid page fault in module labview.exe at 015f:0043bee4.

My NI DAQ is SCXI 1100, 1200, and 1300, in chasiss SCXI 1000. It connects to a LPT1 in a computer (Dell Precision 340) with module SCXI 1200. I re-install my LabView (v4.1) system to the computer, in which Win98 and WinXP are installed, while the LabView is installed in the Win98. I config the NI DAQ using the configuration utility, and the chasiss is verified and the test of the device (SCXI 1200) is passed. But when I open the software (LabView), it always displays "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down." and "LABVIEW caused an invalid page fault in module LABVIEW.EXE at 015f:0043bee4. Registers: EAX=00000024 ......................................". And then it shuts down. I also find that the beginning window displays that the software is "unregistered", immediately after I open the software. But my LabView CD was directly from you company and I input the s/n number during the installation. I tried to install it in the XP system. There is no any problem. But of course, SCXI 1200 is not compatible with XP, so the configuration utility cannot recognize the device, and I cannot run the DAQ system in XP. I also tried to run the software in another computer (there are also win98 and XP in it) or remove and re-install the software. But the same problem happens.

Could anyone tell me how to solve the problem?

Thanks a million!

Hi,

Does LabVIEW crash when you launch LabVIEW or when you launch a previously written VI ?

Best regards,

Hi Tony_G

My LabVIEW crash when I launch LabVIEW, nearly immediately after the splash window of the software appears.

Do you know what I should  do to solve the problem?

Thanks!

Hi LabWill,

It may be worth a re-install of LabVIEW on the Win98 side of the computer, making sure all NI software has been removed first.  Typically LabVIEW should be installed first, then the NI-DAQ software.

Best regards,

Tony
