LabView problems with NI USB 6009

I am just getting started with LabView.  I have a NI USB 6009 and i am simply playing around with NI videos and trying to teach myself how to use this SW.  I plan to attend the 1 week training in mid December.  Anyway, I have duplicated the Analog Input video on the 6009.  I use the daq assistant, select analog input, voltage and enter the setup window.  As in the vid, i am using the RSE setup and the default values on sample size and rate are both 1k.  In this initial window, I select RUN and i see my waveform and it adjusts with the turn of my POT.  My problem is when i continue to the programming window.  It will not acquire any data and i get a message telling me that it can't update fast enough and to adjust my sample rate.  I enter the DAQ assistant once again and if i change my sample rate to a slower Hz, I get a message that there is no signal for the DAQ to acquire.  I don't know if my laptop is inefficient or what.  I have an HP probook with a 2.4GHz processor and loads of free space.  If i unhook my USB and start all over, it works again in the Daq assistant window only.  Any help here would be much appreciated.  Thanks

Hi Steve,

You may want to go through the DAQmx tutorial below for a start to learn about the driver for USB 6009.

I am sure that it is not about your laptop since many of us has been using the same setup as you have with a lot slower computer before. Smiley Wink
