Sure. In order to do so, follow the following steps:
Right click on your shortcut to LabVIEW.
Choose the "Properties" menu option.
On the Comptibility Tab check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Then select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) as the operating system.
Then open LabVIEW with this shortcut.
Manually open your VI using File --> Open, and you can attempt to run.
I'm not sure it will work, but it might be worth a try.

I gave compatibility mode a try (service pack 1 and 2), but neither of them worked, unfortunately.

Simon,
I gave compatability mode for LabVIEW a try and it did not seem to solve the problem. However, I set the compatibility of LabVIEW back to Windows 7 and changed the compatibility of the Tescom program to Windows XP. The allowed the VIs in my attachment to properly execute! Thanks for your help and for pointing me in the right direction!

Avi,
I know this is an old thread but I've also had problems getting the er3000 software working in Windows7. When you say you changed the compatibility of the Tescom program to Windows XP, which program are you talking about?
Also, as far as I know, a year later they still haven't rolled out a new version of the software.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
To get it working, I had to change the compatability mode of the ER3000 program to Windows XP.

Hello every one
I have similar problem my installation is as the following:
Windows Professional 7 O.S 64 bit.
Labview 32 bit. 2009
Moxa adapter RS-232 to USB 4ports adapter.
3-instruments with RS232 interface data transfer is ASCII based .
The status : I can not get any data transfer from the the instruments.
while when I have tested the the system windows 7 prof. 32 bit and it is working fine, only I have some garbage of data from one machine which send data on printer mode (Hardware settings)..
My question Can still use the windows64 bit or should I re-install windows.? since the system could be interfaced again with another software for numerical calculation and spread sheet like Excel.?
Thanks for your help in advance.
