Hi William,

what is "script code"? Do you refer to standard LabVIEW vis?

Anyway, to build an exe with LV7.1 you go to tools menu -> "build application or shared library". There surely is a chapter in the LabView help Smiley Wink

Best regards,

I think the user may be referring to a "build script", which is what was used in the old Application Builder.

As noted by Gerd, just run the Application Builder. It has an option to load a build script. Note that you either need the Professional or Developer Suite to get the Application Builder, although it can be purchased separately if you have the Base or Full. However, I'm not sure if NI can even give you the 7.1 App Builder anymore.

You would select Tools>>Convert Build Script... which creates a build specification from the .bld file.

I use LV7.1 and after installing the application builder, i still cannot find "build application or shared library" under TOOLS. Then I went to "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\project" to find the application builder. i opened it, the error appeared: Error 7 occured at Open VI Reference in Dist Call et Icon.vi-->Build application.vi

Possible reason stated is file not found.

Please advise.. Thanks.
