Labview 7.1 still supported?

Design was entirely developed in v7.1.  Regularly have problems accessing my flexnet licenses. Have to open v8.x first, then can open 7.1.  Found something about the later versions having a longer timeout for license checkouts.  One suggestion was to change the port from the 27xxx value so that the sw will look longer for a license, but that is not an option as there are hundreds of installations pointing to that license at that port.  Any other way to lengthen the timeout for the v7.1 sw?  Thanks!

Umm... to what are you referring? Timeout for what license? Is this a license for LabVIEW, or for something else?

Unable to get a license for Developer Suite v7.1.  Once DevSuite 8.2 is opened and license is checked out, can go back and open DeveloperSuite v7.1...

Hello, Patriet!

First, is there a reason you'd rather not use 8.2? I understand that your system was developed in 7.1, but these VI's will open without issue from 8.2.

Hi Will,

Thanks for the reply.  When making a small change to a VI, we would rather not insert any other variables into the equation to minimize risk.  We would prefer to stay at the v7.1if possible.  The chart does show that the VI can be opened in 8.2, but also states that  "there is no guarantee that the VI will run properly without editing".  Seems that support for 7.1 is not going away, so we should be ok, but would prefer not to have to open 8.2 in order to get 7.1 to checkout a license.
