Labview 8.6 cannot surport IMAQ for USB?

Hello, I am an intern-student. Now I want to make Image Acquisition. I have instlled these software: Labview 8.6, image acquisiton 4.6.4, vision 8.2.3 Acquisition, Vision Run-Time 2011 SP1(evaluate version), Vision Builder for AI 2011 SP1(evaluate version), Vision Development Module 2011(evaluate version) and ni-imaq-usb-installer 86.

But the functions about IMAQ for USB can not be found in the Labview 8.6. Could you tell me, how can I have the functions about IMAQ for USB?

Hey!

Seems that you mixed up some things.

With LabVIEW 8.6 and the Vision Acquisition Software 8.6 (IMAQ, IMAQdx, ...) we provided the IMAQ USB driver as extra download to acquire from usb cameras.

Since Vision Acquisition Software 2009 the IMAQdx driver is capable of acquiring images from USB cameras and no extra driver is necessery.

So you should be able to communicate with your USB camera using the IMAQdx functions.

Keep in mind that we communicate with USB cameras via DirectShow.

However how can I make sure, that the USB cameras via DirectShow with Computer combined ist?

Forgive me for my stupid question. I haven't used this software before.

Read the manual for the camera, contact the vendor, google, ... or simply test it.
