Hardware Test Engineer
Full-Time
Responsibilities:
Design and develop tools and processes for qualifying and verifying
hardware for our implantable electro-medical device.
Design or selection of both the hardware and software used in testing.
Integration, implementation, and use of automated and manual test
systems.
Produce the documentation related to the design and use of test
systems.
Participate in product design definition and requirements definition.
Perform Root Cause Analysis - Identify, record, report, evaluate, and
retest defects.
Ensure that all hardware is thoroughly tested for quality,
functionality, and robustness.
Participate in design control, and system definition activities.
Coordinate the testing and verification activities of outside labs and
subcontractors.
Perform all activities in compliance with applicable regulatory
requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or applicable engineering
discipline is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and
deployment of automated hardware test is required.
Test experience must include a strong working knowledge of both test
hardware and software (LabView).
Implanted medical device experience is strongly preferred.
Work experience in both low power and high voltage, highly integrated
systems is desired.
Expertise in DOE and statistical analysis is desired
Ability to write test requirements and protocols for hardware is
essential.
Experience with tool, fixture, and process design and development
Familiarity with FDA GMP and GLP.
In addition solid oral and written communication skills, strong
documentation skills, and the ability to work with a diverse product design
engineering team are essential.
